Sat in our TT, in the New Forest, listening to the very heavy rain on the canvas & we love it. I would never have thought it could be so nice & suprisingly peacefull.

I may change me mind if we have to strike in the rain though...lol

the sound of heavy rain on a tent is one of my favourite sounds ever..I absolutely love it!!

none of your drizzle...but heavy rain...although even drizzle is nice too

It doe ssound nice, unless you need to strike. Done it once in torrential rain and it was miserable.

Jealous - the rain, i dont like the sound of rain because im scared of thunder and lightening

but jealous you're in my fave place

wont be too long till im there

It finally stopped about 3ish so about 13 solid hrs of very heavy rain, not we have gale force winds

We've just had to come back from st.Ives early because of gale force winds don't mind rain but the wind was unbelievable started from nowhere as well never seen a site empty of tents so quick this morning as it was supposed to get even worse this afternoon. Our tent stood up to things well but some have had poles broken porches ripped off really scary!!!

I love the sound of the rain too on the tent. I hate pitching and packing up in it though.

I hope the wind dies down for our arrival on the Isle of Wight. We should get there around lunchtime on Saturday. Keeping my eyes on the forecast!

This morning there were no ferry crossings, but it does seem to be settling down a bit now though.

Last night was horrendous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunny the TT held up EXTREMELY well, I did use Deltas on my guys, not sure if it's down to them but I did feel alot more confident knowing they were there

We are not going home till sunday so hope to get at least one calm day.......here's to hope...lol
