Well that's hubby just come in from packing the car up for our week away. Everything managed to fit in nicely. I have a few new camping additions and was just waiting on him coming in to say x, y or z would have to stay!

We plan to leave about 4am tomorrow morning for our drive down to Portsmouth. We are Catching the ferry over to the Isle of Wight on Saturday morning. I have had my eye on the weather forecast and am hoping that the wind dies down for our arrival

Hope everyone else who is away or going away this weekend has a safe trip.

Well we have arrived safely in Portsmouth. It's extremely windy but bright enough and at least the rain has stopped. We set off this morning at 04.30 so a bit weary.

We have heard that the ferrys over to the Isle of Wight have been temporarily suspended so we may be delayed in getting over tomorrow. As we were driving down we passed loads and loads of caravans, motor homes and cars with roof boxes all heading north!!

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable time if they are away just now

Glad you've made it safely so far. The winds are due to drop tonight, so hopefully you will get onto a ferry okay tomorrow. Might even be some sunshine tomorrow, so you could even get to pitch in the dry

Oh no, hope we don't need any bags!!! It's calmed down quite a bit now so fingers crossed.

Glad to hear Dalraddy was a success. It must have been great if you are heading back up. What dates are you going? We will be there from 29th until the 3rd July. Might get to meet up with you guys!

Im sure the ferry will be fine,we are thinking of the IOW for next year.
We are going the 29th as well

Its my older sons and there partners who want to take there own tents as they liked the pitches in the trees.We have one of the electric pitches so will see you there and you can give us some tips on the IOW over a wee beer of course.

We are on the ferry. Looks like they are running extra today due to yesterdays weather. We were not ment to be leaving until 10 but they put us on the earlier one. We cant get onto the campsite until 12 though. Its a lovely day but still a tad windy. Hope we get our beast of a tent up ok in the wind!!

Thats great sunnydaycamper. We have booked an EHU pitch also. I dont think there are alot of electric pitches. Never been to that site before but love Aviemore. Hope the weather will be ok. Everytime we go its awful weather.

You guys would love the IOW. You will get to see our pics in a few weeks time!
