Hmmm, we take a lot I think but we're happy. I worry about not being warm enough more than anything (more for the kids)

Tent/extension/carpet for living area/wind break/picnic blankets for bedroom/3 x airbeds/2 x quilts (kids hate sleeping bags /2 x sleeping bags/4 x pillows/3 x fleece blankets (for on the airbeds)/3 x bed sheets for over fleece blankets/spare fleece blankets!/towels/dressing gowns/pop up laundry basket/toilet bucket thing/big table/small table/cupboard/4 x chairs/cooker stand/cooker/EHU/elec coolbox/pots pans cutlery/numerous items of clothing and footwear/food/few toys and wet weather activities/pushchair

I suppose its a bit mad but its for a week and we use everything. Oh, I've bought an small fan heater for this week too.

Oh my goodness we take far too much it seems but tend to use everything! We fill our zafiera and trailer plus two children with everything crammed around them! We only just get the boot shut and once its opened eveything falls out haha. Our baby is 11 months and so once he nolonger needs travel cot, buggy and highchair things should get easier!!! We take luxuries like own toilet, kitchen stand and 2 tables and for longer visits blow up sofas :)

I filled my citreon synergie last weekend when it was just me and the three children, no room for another person as tent & gazebo were in passenger seat. I must admit I did take something that was large, heavy and of no use to me............ the steel poles to the 1-2-trio I recently bought as they are too heavy for me to carry to the house and find a spot for them (I bet you thought I was going to say my husband ). If they hadn't been in the car I probably would have squeezed the tent in the back. Most stuff still in the car ready for my mini break tomorrow for one night, all clothes bags, toys, gazebo, sofa bed, kids sleeping bags and main carpet removed (still have my rug) plan is to use tent, rug, camp bed, SIM, sleeping bag, fleece, one table, EHU, double electric hob, lamp, heater & cooler box all the little bits are loaded in the plastic drawers at the back of the car so will be able to use those from the boot if needed.

i seem to take nearly the same amount of things on a long or short trip and with 5 of us going we fill 2 cars with all of us and equipment.
last time i left the wardrobe behind thinking i wouldnt need it but ended up thinking how much better it was with things neatly put away with a shelf each for our clothes.
i make an extensive list of items to take hoping to cross some off that wont be needed, but always seem to add to it instead!
nevermind, its all good fun.

There are 5 of us....myself, OH and 3 teen DD's and the only thing that changes is the amount of clothes we take!

Has to be tent, beds, sleeping bags, table, chairs (did a weekend without them and hated every minute), pots, pans, cutlery and kettle, suitcase stoves and cylinders, windbreak and lights. Also take (pre-prepared) food for the first night and breakfast the next day, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and bottled water. We have a box specifically for batteries, tea towels/cloths/bin bags/washing up liquid/first aid kit/kitchen towel and other odds and sods and then towels and personal hygiene stuff in another.

Doesn't sound a lot really

I thought we'd have cracked it by now, having bought a trailer earlier in the year. But I forgot that we also bought some more stuff between seasons, and there's only 3 of us! I was convinced that our trailer had shrunk over the winter, lol!

We managed to fill the trailer and the boot. How did we manage without the trailer last year, lol!

Take a notepad with you on camp, and write down what you use and what you don't use.

I take whatever makes me comfortable. I don't go withoutat home so don't see why camping should be any different. It is my home whilst i am away. If you have the room why not take what you want?
