Hope everyone who was out in the elements on Thur/Fri are now home safe and all dried out. Feel very sad for anyone caught up in the floods in Wales.

Our tent has been up dried and now all tucked up ready for its next trip. Hope that no one had too much damage and has not been put of by the windy experience. I guess its all part of camping in this country!

We are now looking at canvas. Although our Vango held up to the weather incredibly well with no damage, the noise was very bad. Only down side to canvas ... does it not take longer to dry out??? We also witnessed several flying gazebos!!!

So glad you are home safe and dry. Those poor souls in Wales didn't fair so well.

We now have canvas (and deltas since our little canvas turned into a balloon when we were packing up in Padstow in March) so we are quiet and secure no matter what the weather. Yes canvas take a little longer to dry out,but to be honest,for the security and lack of flapping they give you in bad weather,it's a small price to pay (and we live in a caravan,so you can imagine what it's like with a wet tent). and at the moment the prices of second hand canvas tents is mostly peanuts compared to polyester.
