can anyone tell me can you fix a thule roof box onto the top of a wooden trailer ?

I was wondering if you would need the bars and feet or could you fix direct ? I am hoping someone who has done this is going to answer ? Pleeeeeeeeease

I have done this i have fitted a lid to the trailer then fitted the roofbox directly to the lid i usen nuts and bolts and washers and used the holes already on the roofbox straight through the wood and secured .

This held up last week against a 70 mph head on wind and driving at 60 mph so it held well i will try get some pics for u

we have a wooden lid that locks onto the top of the trailer. The roofbox is fitted with nuts and bolts to that.

Be careful about fitting so much in your trailer though, last weekend we passed a car that was holding up traffic because the tyre had burst on his modified trailer.
There was a trailer, extended upwards with wooden sides, and a roof box sitting on top. It appeared to be far too heavy for the tiny tyres (and he clearly didnt have a spare!)

It was really trial and error they are not very strong ones from a Peugeot 206 and will only hold up as long as top box is almost empty . But I would suggest putting them on the side walls if not at all as I found they made you lose a bit of space if trailer full
