so because of this wet and windy unpredictable weather and cancelling going camping i thought id look for a carpet for the bedroom pod of the tent.
i worked out that the carpet for an outwell oakland M would be the perfect size and saw that they retail for about 45 - 55.
i looked up go-outdoors and they had them on sale for 29.95 whch i thought was just the perfect price for a bedroom pod carpet.
then doing a stock check online revealed that not a single go outdoors store had one! - and yes, i did check every single store that came up with a green tick saying pickup at store was possible!.
today i dont know why but something made me ring the local store to ask if they had any - and yes, they had 2 in stock! - i asked them to put one to the side and off i went to collect it!
i didnt mention anything about the price at the till thinking that would be the next battle, but sure enough it came up automatically at the sale price - so im over the moon!.
maybe i wasnt meant to go camping this weekend after all - and now when i do, ill have a nice cosy carpet in the bedroom which matches the one in the living area!.

We have a carpet that just came with our pre-loved tent and it's pretty horrid underfoot. Reminds me of the stuff that sun loungers are made from, that horrible plastic-y woven stuff. Are there any that are genuinely more carpet-like?
Don't know if your tent 'carpet' is like the environmentally friendly awning groundsheet thingy that we, and lots of others, have? But if it is, and you don't need it any larger than 3m x 2m, then we picked up one which is a bit thinner than ours,in Lidls of all places for only £14.99. We wanted it for use in our bedroom annexe, (should we use it), and think it would also fit if/when we ever get to use our porch awning! I reckon it would do the job you want it for though.
BUT......not sure if you'd still be able to get hold of one from Lidls coz hubby picked ours up a few weeks ago and I know they change their stock so often but you might be lucky and find a store with an odd one lurking in the back of their store cupboard? Never know your luck eh?

Hippy
both his tents are SIG and ZIG. I don't understand the enviromentally friendly thing... Its only environmentally friendly if you have no plastic groundsheet underneath it!
