We used them properly for the first time this year and they saved us loads of space. Everything that could went into one, clothes, bedding, towels, sleeping bags (even our large double).
The only thing to remember is that when they have been vacuumed, they are solid, so if they fill your bag then there is no chance of just squashing a few extra bits down the side.
Also be careful when sealing them as I have slipped and the clip has gone straight through the top of the bag (probably my fault trying to overfill )
Are they expensive? I suppose it all depends on the quality of the vaccuum bag? I have read a lot of posts about these and they sound like a worth while addition to my camping stock
£3:99 In Aldi at the Mo, bought some last week. they are good but if i'm honest I couldn't 'roll' them I had to use pump. They have also got the larger ones in too, more suitable for bedding .
------------- I am lost, i'v gone to look for myself, If I should return before I get back, Please ask me to wait.

Are these things any good? what would you put in them bedding? clothes?
yes, we use ours mainly for bedding as they reduce down to about 2" deep, brilliant piece of kit, never actually put in clothes for camping trip, however do use them at home to put winter clothes in loft, then changeover to summer clothes in the winter.

nothing else planned as yet
I have vacuum bags, but my airbed pump isn't strong enough to suck out the air.
I found an easy work around is to pull out the plastic flap that is in the way (carefully) suck out air, plug back in and screw on the cap.
