I have done it near Brighton, We stayed for 5 days, but as we had a wedding on the Saturday night, we got a hotel for the night. rather than getting the last train/Taxi back as it worked out cheaper.
We let the Site warden know, and they offered to refund the night we weren't there, despite the tent being up.
We Declined the offer as we were more than happy to pay the extra night even though we were not there as it was our choice.
