Ok everyone I am quote new to this forum, although not new to the whole camping lark!! We are due to go to North Yorkshire (Skipsea Sands to be precise) this sunday, I am desperately still wanting to go but its all of the cynical people telling us that we must be mad to even think of still going, What do all of you people think?? To be fair its only 1 hour 15 minutes from home, so my thinking is to take the chance if we get there and its too muddy and boggy we can turn around and come home... also any tips for camping in mud/rain would be gratefully appreciated...... Which are thebest pegs to use?? Many Thanks from a very excitable me that just cant wait to pitch the tent xxx

Hi, I'd go. Pegs - I've never bought special pegs to hold against bad weather, I think the important thing is to ensure you peg all pegging points and peg them correctly (double peg if bad weather is expected). Former Scout's advice re. door mats is sensible, always best to keep wet and mud out of the tent. Hope you have a great time.
------------- Is it Friday yet?
