Well hate to say it but here in the West Midlands (Bloxwich to be precise)we have has a couple of hours this afternoon where it was dry, but the rest of the day it has rained constantly, our garden is now looking like a pond, just waiting for the ducks!
Have been planning to go away for a weekend since the middle of June, but due to weather and other circumstances have not been able to go, have given up hope of getting a weekend in, anytime soon. Lets hope August improves greatly.
Well I suppose I am somewhere middle of the road when it comes to camping hardiness. Lets face it camping is an outdoor activity and its better when the sun shines. No-one actually enjoys wet days when you are living in a tent and when you get a whole week of rain like we did last year its not fun.
I am prepared to put the waterproofs on and go walking but when you get back to a damp tent and have no-where to dry stuff it can be tricky.
We were very lucky to get a mainly dry week in June. I would hate to think we dont manage to get the tent out again this summer - lets keep fingers crossed for August!

Now that it's really raining - and raining persistently - even the "I love the rain" brigade are waking up to the fact that rain and camping just do not mix.
Me, I hate the rain - always have, always will. And it seems I'm not alone after all
