At the moment its looking like our 2 week holiday away in our new Gelert Morpheus 8 may be cancelled due to waterlogged pitch! We were of to Horam Manor Touring Park ,15mins from Eastbourne and at this moment in time ground is wet but not so you cant pitch but they have said as they are full this weekend for the next week by the time we get to go on the 28th july the ground may be muddy and not suitable to pitch on,sooo disappointed so fingers crossed we get some drier days down there,we were quite happy to accept the weather once we were there but to not get on at all is frustrating
I'll keep everything crossed for you, thats such a shame. As Hacksaw Bob says though, you could try somewhere else, if the campsite cancels on you you'll get your money back to use somewhere else :)
------------- July - Honeybridge Park, West Sussex
August - 1 night somewhere close to home.
September - Swanage
October - Continent, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France
We were worried about the condition of the site where we have booked, Ripley, but after going to inspect it found that despite all the rain the ground was in great condition.
Ive just looked at Hidden Spring and they are fully booked for the dates that we go,i have to phone back Horam monday and see what they regarding the pitches....
its been horrendously wet all day down here but brightening up tomorrow and i have heard that by the weekend it should be getting warmer. i'll keep everything crossed that the weather picks up for you and dries horam out (i am in eastbourne btw although my son goes to school in horam). i could also do with a bit of sun as we are away on saturday and this wet yucky weather is doing nothing for my motivation levels....need to get packing and sorting!!
