At least you can put it down to experience Dave...Need never darken the doors of such a place ever again....And will have your story to tell when someone posts on here wanting advice about a holiday in such a place!!!
Maybe we are a bit picky/lucky over the kind of sites we use normally up here in Scotland...But that sounds like you were camped in the middle of an urban housing estate!!
Been there...Done that....and never want to do it again!!!
As I said before not for me...Nor your family by the sounds of it!!!
