Me and the wife have just had 5 days at Nantcol Waterfalls. As the wife has been poorly for the last 3 weeks we left the bike at home and went in the car. We arrived on Saturday afternoon to find a lovely site. There were a few tents but definatley not packed. The weather was good and it didn't take long to set up.We had a quick stroll round, had a look at the falls, before going back to the tent to heat up the stew and dumplings I made the previous day. Both me and the wife always have a poor nights sleep the first night in the tent, can't figure that one out. Sunday we took a drive around the coast and came across an old mining village which had an open day.The place was called Nant Gwrtheyrn. This is the road leading to the village At the bottom The cafe Got back to the camp and built my camp fire, I had occasional flames but alot of smoke.Sunday night the wind and heavy rain came, it was constant. It was still raining when we went out late Monday morning. These pics were taken Monday evening The water was actually flowing across the grass The bridge leading to the childrens trail The falls Tuesday we headed off to Betwys-y-Coed and Swallow Falls, what a smashing place to be. Swallow Falls, Got back to the site and it was raining still, coupled with fog. The Skandika stood up well to the winds and rain although it did leak a bit where the sig is sewn on.I've just ordered some seam sealer. We liked the area so much that we might go back in August,,on the bike
