I got one of these a few years ago, it blasts out a lot of air. I used it last night and put it right infront of a open window (we have wide sash windows). After about  an hour the  upstairs of the house was really nice and cool and no different to the outside temp. Before it was hot and sticky upstairs.

Also use a trick the Aussies do. Dont open windows if outside is warmer (eg during the day) than inside, and close the curtains. Your just letting the warm air in. Open the windows in the evening when the outside is cooler than the inside.

Aaaaaah the joys of semi-retirement eh?  You lucky bugger!!

My husband is an ex TV/Video repair man & most of our sound and vision at home is of high quality! So when you see Panasonic, you usually know it means quality. We've always had Fuji cameras (compact but excellent picture quality) that we had for years until they just died/screen broke. Then the Panasonic came along and it's rubbish!

Just over a week and I'll be South of the border myself. Cannee wait. Need to smell that polyester tent smell again!!!!!!!

Hi ElizaD..... Ive got a Lumix DMC-F3  The zoom quality is excellent, but when you take a shot on any other setting, it's pants! I've visited some lovelt places camping and walking with 'this lot' on here and all my photo's have turned out 'out of focus'.

I don't know if it's just my random camera or it's just that model. It has 12mp too, so you would think they'd be nice and clear.
