Got a brand new Kalahari 8 and tested it all out during the week. One thing puzzled me, and I'm hardly a camping novice. There appeared to be two types of tent pegs. One that I'm used to, like stiff metal wire, bent into a question-mark head. And the others were a bent over bit of angled steel.
Being traditional I used the first type as I have done for the last twenty odd years. The weird thing was that I pegged out the groundsheet properly, with the elastics, poles and straps all pegged. But then I didn't have enough for the guy ropes.
Should I use one type for guy ropes and the other for the groundsheet? Or are they for two different sorts of terrain?
You'll probably find you have enough of the angled ones to peg out each of the guys, these being more suitable than wire pegs in moderately soft/sandy ground.
I have the Kalahari 8, we have 3 types of pegs, 1 - steel with a loop at the top for the ground sheet, 2 - steel L shaped for guys, 3 - metal flat broad pegs for the webbing on tent, hope this helps.

July - Wild Duck, Norfolk.
New Year - Portugal
The V shaped ones are for the groundsheet, if you count them they will match the anchor points at either end of the tent. Ours has 4 of these at both ends of the tent, the others are for the end of each pole and the guy ropes.
