I dont sleep for weeks before. I even keep writing list of what I need or not etc on bits of paper.
So I am worse than a child and I am pushing half way to 69. No hope for me now as its too late to changeand besides I do not want to. Must be a gypsy somewhere in my genes but not according to the family, just an outdoor person.
Enjoy yourself and I have to wait till Sept 2nd but I have had 10 weeks this year already so cannot complain.

If I at 65 still get excited, write and amend lists weeks before, hardly sleep night before, run on adrenaline (other hols don't affect me) I doubt you will change. There seems to be no antidote to the camping bug except eventually retiring due to ill health or age.

The last line is no good either. As I was medically retired at 48 yrs old in 1992 My Bob had to go medicaly just one yr ahead of time in 1999 he s now 76. So both retired and both medically. Just letting you know there is no excuse not to carry onward your never too old & let no one tell you without you answering them back in the positve.
Beanaek... I hope we are still doing it at 69 too
Fotogen...... Yes, I will get some sleep, but only cos we are driving through the night tomorrow and OH will need some company
