Hi all - I've enjoyed reading everyone elses 'all packed' or 'setting off' posts so thought I'd do one too. It's 6pm Friday and apart from the morning stuff - dog basket, toiletries bags etc - we're all packed and ready. The table, sleeping bags and foam mats are on the roof (we have one of those clever fabric roof rack things) and everything else in boot or footwells. I've even got space to sit in the passenger seat rather than in the back with the dog on my lap! (a bit of a luxury).
It's our first time in our new tent - the vango samara 600 - and we loved it in the showroom and on our test pitch. It's our first full week away too as we did one long weekend close to home in our smaller tent over the jubilee weekend, and we did an overnight stay at a family get together. This is a week in the New Forest (at Red Shoot Camping Park) and it's me, hubby, 7 year old son and our 6 month old beagle pup. While we're there it's our 10 year wedding anniversary (I have bought banners, but have no idea how to put them up in a tent...will blu-tack work or damage the tent!?!) AND it's our sons 8th birthday. I think we might just have a fab time!
We've planned very little apart from a general 'going for walks and to pubs' type idea but we're really looking forward to it. I'm a photographer so I'm excited to take lots of photos, and I think hubby is just excited by relaxing with a beer or two 
Wish us luck - I'll let you know how it goes!
