Indeed we do. She has done more than 160k+ in 10 years, an old girl by MINI standards, and I hope she has many more years to come.

FDP, not sure about that, as she needed a heart transplant last year!
The engine packed up, cost me a small fortune to have it refurbished.
Hopefully she'll last a few more years, now that I check the oil level once a week!

Oh no! But she's renewed ok, that's good. I'd love to keep a car from new 'til done and dusted. Never managed it yet. I'd keep Frogsy but son's having him, I'm getting a new (to me) car.
I shall get the one that better suits the tent. And airbeds. Carpet and pegs. Stove and ... you know the rest
Get one with a tow bar already installed, just in case you need to further expand at a later date!

Not original, someone suggested that in a previous car buying advice thread.

Striking camp in the rain after thinking you're going to get away with it being dry sucks... But the rain gets us all when packing up sometimes.
If you just got on with it and looked like you were coping, that's probably why you weren't offered help by onlookers. As in Bernie's case, some people like the independence.
I've helped people both pitch and strike - but only where it's been blatantly obvious they're struggling... Always aware that I don't want to offed people.
One tip for striking camp when its wet - years ago for some heavy canvas tents that would only ever fit in the bag when dry, someone we knew got some cheap but decent thickness material and stitched up some bigger bags - it means the wet tent goes in comfortably without unravelling, and it keeps everything else dry in the car...
