RTS5 made a good suggestion regarding Scout Groups - if there is one locally that has their own premises, talk to them and ask if you make a donation if it would be possible to use their building to dry your tent.

The Scout group that I was a member of (just outside of Brum incidentally) growing up as a kid and then as a young adult/leader had a large hut as a HQ - we used to dry tents out by spreading the canvas over chairs... Then one of the other leaders come up with a brilliant idea of stringing a couple of ropes from the ceiling in the aisles in the stores, meant we could dry out canvas without worrying about pulling it up in the middle of the week for section meetings...

I'm sure there was a couple of times they let my Dad dry our trailer tent awning there too due to lack of room at home..

We use the most under used space in a very small upstairs maisonette, THE LOFT!

My hubby has fitted some hooks and line along the main beam and we just hook the tent up and spread it out, as the loft gets very warm during the hot weather it dries very quick, give it a try, failing that if you have no loft space do as suggested by others here and use your local park on a fine day.

All the local scout groups, that i know of..use church halls or community centrs which are constantly used.

I think the park is my best option and keeping my fingers crossed lol

Thank you all for your suggestions
