I'm normally a stickler for dry tent packing, however we're off until Tuesday (rain expected as we pack up) and then away again on Friday morning. Will I get away with leaving it in the bag for 3 days or should I be conservative and pitch it in the park on Wednesday?
If we weren't going away again so quickly I wouldn't hesitate, but it means a day off work unless we miraculously have a glorious Tuesday evening.
------------- If it doesn't fit inside the cars it's more than your family needs :-)

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
I've left tents in the past for longer than three days too... But as a rule of thumb, get it dry as fast as you're able - the longer you leave it, the sooner mould starts to develop and eat at your fabric....
Though three days really should be okay. :-)
------------- Mr Bukey
Wants to go camping again...
I've had folding campers and Combi Camps (proper canvas) that have been left wet from sunday to friday with no damage but I wouldn't have left them any longer than that.
I had a caravan awning that was packed away soaking wet at New Year and I forgot about it - took it out on a sunny day in June and laid it out, soon dried in the sun, no damage - but they are acrylic and polyester, not real canvas.
Modern lightweight tents - one got put away wet and forgotten about for a year and it was ok when we got it out and dried it out, although it was a bit smelly for the first 24 hours or so.
So I think you'll both be fine.
