Thinking about modifying my tent and I wondered if any had any thoughts on the following. Please excuse me if get any terminology wrong.

I am thinking of modifying the front door. Like most tents we can prop this up with 2 poles and guy ropes. Our tent is a Voyager 6. However the downfall is that if it rains the rain can still blow in. I don't have the money to buy a porch and we really don't need the extra room. My thoughts....

Using clear plastic material (i.e. the window material) and velcro (since there is already velcro along the edges of the door) I plan to make 'sides' that could be velcro'ed to the door (in the up position) and the tent. That way it wouldn't look odd (the material would be neutral and not clash with the tent colour), any velcro added (if need be) wouldn't damage the tent and would not be in unsightly places. It would be like a little porch just for the door.

This would only be used in light rain. Any ideas and suggestions for materials?

 I'd suggest getting the lightest you can,   I bought a small amount of wndow sheeting to replace the window in my emergency Bothy and it's rather heavy.  I just mention this as you might find velcro won't hold it up
