You won't want to know that it's glorious in Lyme Regis at the moment - the forecast is entirely wrong as usual! Check out the Lyme Regis webcams
That's exactly why I would never cancel a trip due to rain. The forecasters never get it right. You can look at five different forecasts and they are all showing different things.

February - Red Squirrel
March - Gimme Shelter
April - Elie

A weather forecast is just that...a forecast. If I had looked at the forecast yesterday then we were due rain all day. As it turns it just rained (albeit heavy for 30mins) about an hour ago.
We did venture to Lyme on Sunday for the day,and we witnessed the candles on the cobb, absolutely amazing !!!

Good, glad you made it, the weather was great although a little too windy for candles. We were on the North Wall lighting candles - it's the wall to the left of the Cobb, we managed to get most of ours lit to start with but the wind was a bit much for them.
It's a fab event that raises money for local youth charities and this year Help for Heros as well, updated info
went to the beach today (Bank Holiday Monday) you cant see it in the picture but it was battering down and you could hardly stand up, campsite has 2 inches of water on it in places (Cornwall)
We cancelled our trip to Leominster, but our friends went. It wasn't as bad as predicted however they said it was bad on Saturday and our daughter wouldn't have liked it . Wanted the weather to be bad so it would justify us cancelling but wanted the weather to be good for our friends who had still gone! They said Sunday was lovely though.
We came to Lyme yesterday, candles on the Cobb fantastic, been raining nearly all day here but tomorrow looking better, having a treat at Hix fish and oyster house before we leave on weds....
