We have been so lucky so far this year. When we have had to pack up in the rain it has been with the small tent that can easily be put back up in the garden (when the rain stopped of course). When we have taken the big tent we have been able to pack up in the dry.
My 20+ ft long tent is as we speak in my 10ft dining room, with the clothes airer and 2 chairs in it. Nearly spent another night camping as just got lost and couldn't find the door!!
Thankfully we have a loft conversion so it gets chucked over the banister & floor & it's a sunny warm room so even The Beast didn't take more than 3 days to dry out!

I can see the headlines now 'Woman feared missing found in tent in her dining room. She said "I just couldn't find the door so pulled the SIM and sleeping bag out and just settled down for the night"'
And yes, been there, done that myself too, and am still doing it - I still have not finished my washing!

Yes home safe, will post some photos over the weekend. Still have two carpets to hang on the line to brush and air but otherwise we are all packed up again
Been back two weeks now from my holidays...Tents all dry and packed away...But my hall is all lined up with other camping gear??? Only have to pick the stuff up and store it in my bedroom 15 paces away!!! To be honest I've been busy working and doing the living room up since I got back..Some day next week its all going where it should be...Week after I'll probably have one of my "impulse" trips and drag it all back out again...

Well thankfully our tent is dry and now only occupies a corner of the dining room. We eat at the table three times a day so not haing it is terrible for us. The plan was to take the tent outside to fold it properly but as the British summer is well and truly back it will now wait in the dining room until we can take it out without fear of it getting wet again.
Just returned from a very wet week at Wasdale. Thankfully it was sunny for a while yesterday so for once got them dry without tentage all over the house.
Just back from Shell Island, rained Friday night, Saturday not to bad, Sunday we both got sunburnt and today wet and windy so the dining room is full on tent and awning. LOL
