I've seen many sites advertising pre pitched tents such as this and now I've had a nose at that have to confess its not far off what we take! admitedly no plastic table and chairs as they don't fold flat but they have no rugs, now I'm all excited about our next camp just so I can take some pics of our set up as I think I may have my perfect set up for both fitting in the car & TT and functionality , that said I thought I was happy with this kitchen set up but have since added double electric hob, change of fridge as that one died (along with the milk frother but not yet replaced that) heater only optional and all enclosed in its own utility tent:

July 2012 - Newquay, Cornwall
Aug 2012 - Dawlish, Devon
July 2013 - North Devon
Aug 2014 - Sanford park
Aug 2016 - Hendra
That's what I do when going to the South of France. It's so much easier after a long drive and you get a proper fridge for the beer and nice, comfy beds - doesn't work out much more expensive either, especially if you would have to tow a trailer with all your camping equipment and use toll roads.

Is that an electric stove???
it was cold at easter but must admit we've bought a small fan heater for the TT as its smaller, the electric stove will still get used in the bell tent though.
Saw something similar in the Campeole campsite in Carcassonne a few years back. I think they call their (sturdier-looking) tents bengalis or something like that. I can see the practical side of this type of thing but it's not my cup of tea.
When we had use of a static it was easy just throwing clothes and a pint of milk in the car, and may be somethign for the next morning's breakfast. But I do love the freedom that my tent offers.
