Armchaircamper...the Indian is on the opposite side of the road from the railway station, its on the right almost on the edge of town heading South, just before what used to be the tourist info centre ( its now a camping gear shop).
Rothiemurchus is my favourite campsite, we are up there 4 -5 times a year..brilliant.

Glad to hear you had a good time. Dalraddy is a lovely site. We stayed there at the start of the summer holidays. Did you camp in the wild non EHU area at the top ofthe hill? It looked nice in there.

Yes, I saw that one too. There's also an Indian restaurant/takeaway out by the Rothiemurchus centre, which was some other kind of restaurant last time I was there.

Yeah, were were the first pitch on the right as you drive up the hill past the park (Pitch 11 IIRC). No EHU for us. The site was fine and not too far from Aviemore so all in all a good site. Im still craving for some west coast rough camping with an open campfire though. We even went into the tourist information board to enquire what the thoughts are about pitching anywhere and setting a fire. No problem with pitching up wherever, but as soon as a fire is started then they told us we would be moved on. Fair enough i suppose considering the amount of woodland in the area.

We had a cracking Haggis Supper from the Chippe on the Friday night. Happy Haggis i think its called. Had a Pizza on the Saturday from the Italian place on the roundabout as you come in to Aviemore on the Saturday night but did not think much of it to be honest.
