After slowly building up our camping gear, we are now looking at longer stays away for holidays and the like. One of the luxuries that we take along with us is my laptop that enables us to watch DVDs and various other films/programmes stored on USB memory sticks. I have a Digital USB TV dongle for the laptop but the problem is getting a good reception.

What is the best way to do this but on a budget. We've looked at the satellite dish set-ups that you can get but these are on the expensive side and we don't know if this would work with a USB TV dingle, I've tried a small indoor aerial with signal booster but this also didn't work.

We've seen various caravans and some tents that have TV aerials but where is the best place to get a bargain.

thanks in advance.
Rob

I suppose the strength of the signal at the site would determine the level of equipment. The satellite system would work best I guess but would be expensive. Have you looked at second hand gear ?

You can watch TV online here but of course you need to be able to get a connection plus unless you have unlimited data it can cost a bit on PAYG. I have used it to watch the occasional programme though or the news.
