Just got back from a couple of days camping in the peak district. It's been so long since we camped in good weather that I'd forgotten how good it is! Hope everyone else had a great weekend too

It's been a while since we've had any decent camping weather. Cloudy weekend here with rain on Friday and heavy rain today.
Glad somewhere has seen the sunshine lately. I think we all need it.

I'm gutted that I had last weekend AND this weekend off work. That never happens. And which weekend did I choose to go camping? Yup, last weekend when it rained!

We have just had a great weekend in the Peak District Canvas Col, where did you stay?

We went to Hayfield C & CC Site and the weather was glorious, had a great time.

We stayed at Lime Tree Park, saw a lot of very busy campsites while we were out & about. We'd booked a particular pitch weeks ago, there was no one booked next door to us so we were allowed to use both pitches so the grass had a bit of a chance to recover. We made the most of the extra space as we could sit in the sunshinefrom morning till evening lol

You really appreciate a bit of sun if you're used to camping in cloud, rain and wind. It's so much more relaxing too.

Feeling smug that we went away last week & not this, as it's raining hard & getting quite windy!

We ate breakfast every morning in the sunshine, it was so hot we ended up sitting in the back of the tent to get shade

Of course I didn't take sun cream so our faces were rather red after 4 days...bliss!

And oh the joy of a dry pack up............yep good weather is the only way to really enjoy camping at it's best

Yes it really was lovely, all we ate came from a BBQ :))

Im now tempted to go again this weekend if its dry :) Soooooo much nicer in the sun!
