I do find it funny tho when you see people who are in their van taking their pots to be washed, we use our sink as it's meant to be used when using the van instead of the tent
My parents go caravanning and my dad always uses the site facilities to wash up:
1) The sinks are bigger than the teeny one in the caravan, so it's easier to wash up the big stuff.
2) He's not using the water from the caravan, which means he has to refill it less often; he's also saving money on having to heat the water.
3) Washing up at the site sinks can be quite a sociable experience.

as to funny things. I like watching people try and repack popup tents at the end of their stay ...
We've seen a few pop up tents while camping, seen them pop up and thought it was great. Have waiting around to see them put away but always miss it, maybe they do it at night so people can't see them struggling!
I watched a guy send his wife of to fill up with water a good walk down and back with a 5ltr bottle . I noticed all this as I filled my kettle from the tap 10 ft from there tent . I said you know there's a tap here ! Yep but she doesn't and needs the exercise was the reply .

The small ones are easy once you get the knack and loose the fear of breaking them, we have a pop up utility (2.5mx2.5m) and will admit I struggle with it but we put it down the night before we leave.

Confession time! I am hopeless at packing up my pop-up, I think basically because I've not much arm strength and yes, I do get up early and try to get it done before folks see me struggling! The people I'm usually with know this and stand around waiting for the laugh! One of them was so good at packing the thing, he got the task for the next three times we camped together. He now has two understudies (both male). Thankfully we can all laugh at ourselves!

Do you think this is because some places have a 'Drinking Water' tap?
Surely it's the same water anyway.
Although we don't drink it unless its boiled, if we have a cold drink, it's usually bottled/canned!
One time we took our Quechua base seconds 4.2 a large pop up tent, the family next to us was most interested. They brought out chairs and settled down to watch us pack it away. All they needed was cards with numbers to score us out of ten. Rising to the occasion we gave a faultless performance of how to pack a pop up and they shuffled off disappointed muttering "that looked easy". I felt like I'd let them down
Man and van arrive at campsite.Man pitches tent and proceeds to unload a proper bed, wooden chest of drawers, armchair, lamp plus various other home from home items.Man disappears and returns with his mother, whom he drops off and leaves her to her ultimate glamping experience.
