Can't wait - off to Fife tomorrow to camp for 2 nights and go to Leuchars airshow. Not sure if me or kids more excited! Have new Outwell Vermont xlp to stay in and camping at Nydie. Keep your fingers crossed the weather stays settled please!

Have a good one Gilro. Stayed at Nydie last year. Fab site but very exposed as it is at the top of the hill. Fingers crossed things have died down by tomorrow. We are about 15 miles from Nydie and it ain't nice outside just now.

The airshow will be great. Your kids will love it. We plan to go next year.

I'm sure I read in one of the reviews of Nydie that they were recently erecting some kind of wind break structures which will obviously help you. Getting thru the traffic to Leuchars will be an entirely different problem

Well we survived! Had great time at the air show - dh wants a Typhoon for Xmas! It was pretty windy on the hill at Nydie, although the windbreaks helped. Anyway our lovely Vermont stood firm, no problems at all, even through some very blustery weather last night. And we all loved the extra space in the tent compared to our old one. Satisfied customers all round!
