Me, the kids and some friends are off to Sherwood Forest Holiday Park. The weather forecast looks dry if a bit cold but we can cope with that. Really looking forward to it as my friend and her kids have never been camping.

Unusual time of year for a debut, but I suppose that if they get through unscathed in November, then the "summer months" will be a breeze.

Go easy on them, Scrunchkins, and reel 'em in slowly!   SUCKERS!!!

Have a great time, Scrunchkins..... don't forget the pics!

We were camping last weekend too.  In a tent and with just one heater.  We were lovely and warm.  What were you doing wrong?

Have a great time, I am going camping today too, have packed an extra heater and more bedding this time.

Maybe it depends on how big the tent is?     My Vango Oregon 400 was easy to keep warm, but I don't know about my new tent though.

That's the thing about camping at this time of year; being toasty warm.  Enjoy the rest of your trip.

We had a lady camping for her 1st ever time last week in Glencoe....Went home determined that her family would be on the next trip(next year) in their new tent...By the end of this weekend she was asking all sorts of questions re tents and equipment....And was wondering why she had never been camping before....YAY!! another convert.....

We're back home now and a fab time was had by all, despite waking up to frozen milk on Friday morning. Note to self - do not waste precious room in the car with a fridge in the winter months

I think my friend and her kids are now camping converts and my friends 10 year old daughter has asked if she can come with us on our next trip in December
