Does anyone know if there is charity's that take tents? Would live to give one off our tents to someone that could not otherwise manage to get the kids on holiday? Just I am a bit running out off space

That's an excellent idea, I'm looking into working for a local charity and may suggest some group camping ventures for the less fortunate

I have heard all those tents left at festivals now get gathered up and given to charity...Maybe Google something like that and see if they want it/them....

Wait till summer & loads of people will be looking for a free tent on Freecycle. Pick a family you like the sound of and offer it to them.

I gave one of my tents away to the scouts when we bought our caravan, and they were pleased to put it to good use, taking some children to the scout camp that otherwise would not get a holiday with their family.

At least by giving it to the scouts you are sure that its not been sold on by some unscrupios individual to line their own pockets with cash.

We gave two decent ridge tents to the local scouts, they had asked on the local Freecycle site and were very pleased with them.
