After many years of taking my wife camping and me sneaking many purchases under the radar and directly into the garage only to emerge on the next trip with the well used words ' oh that? I've had it ages' I feel I have finally made a breakthrough. On a trip to Go Outdoors this weekend, after 15 years of being together, my darling wife uttered the words 'shall we get this one, its more expensive but we will use it loads'

I can now die a happy man!

Your post gives hope to all those currently STILL creeping about with tents and other gear looking for yet an other hidey hole to stash it in!!

There are a few on here like that who must be getting desperate as the hidey holes become less and less available....Your post lets them know that there might be light at the end of the tunnel even if it might be another 15yrs(or more)before they can step out into the light and become bonafide camping gear collectors...
