Now barred from my local Go outdoors----they werent happy about me trying to rub a hole in their new tent display groundsheets with an airbed leg....and no matter how much I protested -they wouldnt sell me any pringles!!!Dont worry about me..new s.i.m on its way and I,m sure it will be fine on the ground. These are the length,s I have to go to in order to keep the o/h camping.Every year there are sacrifices to be made..weve now got a gas cooker and lights and a EHU! (for her heated rollers). and as if that wasnt enough...she keeps mentioning the "C" word! I have pointed out that my pick-up isnt fitted with a tow hitch and they are probably dis-continued.Should buy me a couple of seasons?
Is it necessary to use a self-inflating mattress with folding camp beds? We've always used air beds, but I haven't been getting on very well with our double one, so we're considering changing to folding camp beds for this year. Just want to know what I need to look out for.
No need for pringles lids if you are using the quechua air 70 bed base from Decathlon. Nice sprung slats with a 10 year guarantee. Use a SIM or airbed on top.

In my defence, my tip for pringles lids was stolen from others on here. I’ve never actually felt the need for them myself, despite our bog standard Go Outdoors camp beds not having mud feet.
Further defence also reminds that said tip came in 2013... long before Quechua came up with these apparently excellent (very well reviewed) bed bases!
