We are camping at Easter this year but I can't possibly wait any longer! I was planning on pitching our beast in the garden a couple of weeks prior to our trip to check all is well but then managed to persuade hubbie to pitch it at our local campsite instead, so we have a bonus night away!!!! That's 31 night's booked for 2013 now!!! Yippeeeeee!!!

It is still pretty cold down here too. We did see a bit of sunshine today but still only 2 degrees! Going to take the heater and, tbh, if it is too cold, we can always wimp out and go home as it is only 20 minutes drive.

Enjoy the extra trip OP!

I have planned for 5 trips for this year, totally 30 days.

I would have gone for another 2 trips, however, I need to take 5 days off my annual leave to go to visit my mum in Hong Kong again this year (it is once every 2 years).

She got really upset when she discovered I went to Scotland camping with the dog for 2 weeks last year, when I would only spend a week in HK with her.

Very funny! Well it takes quite a while to get to Scotland too, not to mention setting all the kit up!! We went to Hong Kong as part of our honeymoon trip and we loved it there! I remember laying in bed, after a tipple or two, on the top floor of our hotel and was watching a building changing colour. I thought the drink had taken effect until I looked closely and realised what was happening!

I will have a few extra nights here and there as I take the children by myself during the school holidays. I could possibly knock it up to 40 if I try!!

I have already started to plan for the following year, as in 2014/5, looking at 7 trips, and I may be tempted to go back up to Glencoe via the Lakes and take 2 weeks off.

Whoop Whoop! 31 nights- what a fab season to look forward too you have got!

Haha- DK! I love that. Bless your Mum though.

So far, we've only got our main holiday booked which is 11 nights on the Isle of Wight in June.
We're testing all of our new gear out in a big garden camp at my Mum's over Easter and seeing as how that is technically not at home-I'm counting it as a trip, we will treat it as though we are camping so why not?! That will be a lovely (and free) 3 nights too.

Other than that....haven't got any more plans. We're hoping to do May Day bank holiday. August bank holiday and then a week in September. We will book those.

Any other breaks will just be spur of the moment "The weather looks good for this weekend lets pack up and go on Friday evening after work" type trips.

I am ITCHING to get away! Roll on Easter! :)

we have just returned from our second trip this year... that's 7 nights this year already

we are also looking at 30+ nights this year, we used the Kampa the first two ... but these modern tents are not really up to the cold weather.. but we have found a canvas frame tent we hope to pick up this week for our 'out of season' trips

I am also looking at wood burners

as this would mean we are not so tide? to EHU in the 'low' season...
