Hey there, hope someone can help!

I'm a non-driving camper meaning everything I take has to be as compact as possible! Can anyone recommend a good chair or seating that is as compact as possible for carrying?

Thanks!

Jen

quest do a lite weight, folding directors chair very solid ideal fro carrying to the beach, depends on how much comfort you want to sacrifice you could get some fold up stools.

The Helinox One chair is probably one of the most compact and light. Expensive though....

Now if I could afford three of those it would free up space in the car for a whole range of other things

Thanks for the link epa611 - we've been looking for similar chairs and the reviews are good (including the 'milk bottle top' tip to prevent 'sinking'!). Saved postage costs from your direct link - thanks

Thanks guys... yeah those Helinox chairs would be ideal but they are rather pricey for the amount we'd be likely to use them! Was slightly concerned they may not hold me weight (I'm a little on the heavy side!) but they hold up to 22st so Im OK.

The Quest one looks reasonable - but I'll have to check it out at my local shop. We travel fairly light but still have to factor in a moderately heavy tent and a rather large double sleeping bag.

Im sure sitting on the floor wont hurt just for weekend excursions :)

how are you transporting your gear? I've heard people on here recommending the frame from a pull along trolley bag or a wheeled box like this. You could strap your tent and chair above the box which would contain lots of other gear and clothes could go in a backpack. You would be able to bungee strap a relatively normal sized camping chair on there I reckon.

Brickimum - thank you! Actually been looking round for this kind of thing but not anything quite like you've suggested - will definitely bear it in mind.
