Here is my dilemma, my 2 children are desperate to away easter weekend to our local site, hubby looking at his long range weather forecast at work and saying its far too cold etc, I am looking at various weather websites and they are all slightly different. I want to go too as its been soooooo long since the last trip difficult times, plus not organised as i haven't checked everything

Do it! Life's too short. We are fingers crossed heading off on Friday even though the road between us and the site is completely shut by snow at he moment!! We are going unless it is impossible to do so. Blankets, hot water bottles, heater, onesies and we'll be fine. And if not we will come home...easy!

What is Net Weather saying on your local search? Have found this to be very reliable & it's our *bible* now, especially for wind speeds!

I am getting ready for my trip from Wed 27 Mar after work to Tue 02 Apr, and am preparing the trip as if it is a winter trip.
I am not going to bother ironing any Hawaiian shirts which are my summer clothing of choice (usually from Easter till end of September), as I doubt if I would have the opportunity to wear them during the trip.
Food wise, it is unlikely to be BBQ and salads just yet, and shall plan accordingly for more hearty dishes.
If the road conditions are really bad, then I shall camp nearer to home, instead of driving 3h each way.
Comes rain or shine, I am going camping, as it has been too long since my last trip in Oct 2012!

I am washing and nik waxing my trousers and jacket, fleecy sweatshirts, jim jams, heater, hot water bottles.
I'm crossing fingers and toes (if we can feel them).
If it's too cold, we come home.
I'll never know if I don't go. :-)

Its been dry in the SW for the last 2 days but bloody cold. We planned on going to East Sussex on Thursday til lTuesday (about 4 hours drive via scenic road). My wife does not want to camp if this cold (its cold in the house let alone in a tent), so unless it warms up we will pull out cancel our time booked off work and go on day trips Friday/Monday instead.
