Well, not me personally!

I am keeping a close eye on the weather for Bexhill, which is my Easter camp destination.

When I looked yesterday it was rain, rain, rain and a bit more rain!

This morning I had a sneaky peek and the rain drops have gone, just cloud! But then I looked at the wind speed! 24mph! I would like to think our massive beast of a tent will just laugh at these speeds but now I am beginning to convince myself otherwise!

I understand the site is quite sheltered though. Oh well, I may look tomorrow and it will be in the middle of a heatwave!!

pitch behind a hedge or such for wind shelter, or back into the wind if shelter not available..
you will enjoy the trip

Im looking twice a day at the forecast for ours for Monday, and everytime i look its different lol. Itll be fine, its mostly down to pitching properly anyway, as long as you take the time to do it right in the first place, youll have a great time :D

Good luck with the weather, definitely try and pitch somewhere with a bit of shelter and with the back to the wind if at all possible.

My last tent was damaged by high winds, and one of the design requirements for the replacement was the ability to withstand wind and bad weather conditions.

Hence I bought a Dutch pyramid tent, which was categorised as a "storm" tent due to its shape and design.

It has coped well over Easter and when I was in Glencoe last year.

However, the dog was startled by the noise, and could not settle.

Hence I got him a pair of Mutt Muffs for this season. Hopefully, they will arrive in time tomorrow for our trip so that he can try them out.

The site is quite sheltered but can get waterlogged (we had to abandon a BH break there in 2011). I'm sure you will be fine, check with staff as they are very helpful.

After reading the title of this thread, I was going to say I have the same problem after eating cabbage last night. However I now realise it's not that kind of "wind".

I promised my friends when I was about 13 that I would never grow up and I have kept that promise!! Much more fun!

No, I don't have bad wind myself although apparently, according to my husband I did the other night when I was asleep!!! I said "I apologise, I know not what I was doing as I was unconscious"! He said he was nearly knocked unconscious!! Normally a real lady though!

if the tables were turned, I would have insisted that he slept downstairs, or maybe in the garden! That'll get him acclimatised for the weekend camp!!

Can't get my smileys up tonight. I keep clicking on it but they aren't popping up! feel a bit lost without them! :-)

Oh bless, just seen a picture of some Mutt Muffs and they are so adorable! Do you think your dog will keep them on? Can't wait to see photos of him wearing them. What is his name? He is a lovely dog.

He is called Borda, his dad, my late partner chose the name for him.

Apparently other dogs had tried to shake the ear muffs off at first, however, they soon realised they could not. Therefore, there is hope for my mutt.
