Unsure which category these come under.

Having stopped solo tent camping - but still eager to have campsite style hols, and still solo - I'm considering booking a wigwam on Humble Bee Farm or Seahouses, Northumberland in June. Don't seem to be many reviews on use of wigwams on either site. Has anyone info to share but not written a review?

Hello Mavis. We have stayed in wigwams before (not the Humble Bee ones though) and camped in our tent at Humble Bee.

First the wigwams-these are great, especially during cooler months. Not a great deal of space inside but they are really only designed for sleeping in and if you are on your own it will not be a problem. Most come equipped with fridge, toaster and microwave. They also have heating and lighting. The wigwams we used had a slot to put your pre paid electricity card into.

Now for Humble Bee- We stayed there two years ago and it's one of our favourite sites. Just wish it was not so far away from us. It's not a big site which we liked. The facilities were spotless and the toilet block had only just been built. The site also allows fire pits which was nice to have once it got dark. Lots to see and do in the area as well which is a bonus.

I would say staying in a wigwam at Humble Bee would be perfect for you. Sorry don't have any info on the Seahouse site you are also considering but I'm sure more replys will follow.

Fotogen we are staying in the wigwams at humble bee a week on Monday so will post a review when back home.

Have a look on Trip Advisor as there is a lot of wigwam reviews on there.

We stayed in a wigwam late summer last year up in Northumberland and it was fine. Some sites you only get the wigwam with fridge, others like humble bee have kettle, toaster and microwave included so worth checking before you book!

Definitely give them a go though, we were toasty in the one we had!

Thanks for your helpful replies. Be good to read your review coll26.
I looked at Springhill, Seahouses but it's a bit further than I want to drive unless I stop over.
