Well after seeing the lovely sun shining again this morning I'm wishing I was camping! Not long till our first camp so going to get the trailer tidied out and everything cleaned up ready!
I've also got a new carpet for the bedrooms that I need to cut to size, has anyone done this? I was thinking of edging with wide tape?

Hi scb2, we got two Outwell carpets for our Cabanon Tent.
A Minnesota 6 carpet for the living area, and a Wolf Lake 5 carpet for the bedroom pod.
Took a few measurements, and got a lady on Bury market who does clothing alterations, to cut and hem them to a bespoke fit, lovely job and cost was around £10 per carpet, a couple of years back.
Would like to have done it myself, but you would really need a sewing machine to do the job properly.

I was just going to use a strong tape like duct tape? I've just cut the carpet and doesn't look like it needs edging so I'm going to wait and make sure they fit the bedrooms properly before edging them x
I'm just hoping it doesn't annoy me too much that my living room has an outwell carpet to match the tent and I've got a high gear for the bedrooms as it was the largest/cheapest I found x

I did the Same today emptied the rucksack, and checked all my gear. and repacked only to find out, one of the blow up beds has a mega lump in it looks like it's eaten a small cat or somthing. The joys of lending stuff to family.

Thorgrim - that made me chuckle...maybe you should ask the family if the cat is missing? I am a cat lover (we have a very handsome one) bth!

When I have had to cut carpet to fit tents never used tape to finish off. Always cut the edge furthest away from door ways etc. 3 years on and its still good.
