Did you find there were half a dozen daddy longleg beasties waiting to attack you the second the light went off?
---------------
Don't worry, they don't have fangs. Incredibly poisonous venom though
So glad that I have my porta potti - not so bad now that the kids sleep in their own beds - but it used to be extract myself from between two kids, trying not to disturb them, go to loo, then try to get back to bed, gentle moving the one that had rolled into my space.
This then changed when Pip decided to sleep by himself, but was replaced by the dog - similar story - try not to disturb the dog too much, as he had to get up to help. Did this at home. He now trust me to go by myself - he has learned that I am not going to escape through some secret passage - and will come back to him.
I have a wonderful light which comes on very dim, and yu can control the brightness - wonderful for those night time loo trips.
I also make sure that I always have a torch to hand.
