Mine have to go into a crate (living area) at night because they chew anything and everything. That way at least I know they're not destroying anything.
whenever we go away with "the little man" he usually curls up in his £2.99 dog tent from G.O and we dont hear a peep from him . (the full day walking may of helped)
I'm a (ssshhhhhh CAT owner) and curious about what you do overnight for calls of nature?
We don't take the old lady camping - she likes her home comforts - but hypothethetically, if we did, she'd want to pop out at night for relief, as well as chasing mice.
What DO you do, or do they cross legs and wait for morning?
I think most dogs, unless they are quite elderly, are capable of waiting until morning as long as they go out before bedtime. With my two I restrict their water in the evening and take them out last thing before I go to bed and they can quite easily last all night without needing to go out.
