We're new to all this and looking for our first tent. We keep getting beat on e-bay for an Icarus 500, seem to go for £ 120 ish. GO are keeping thier 'Bank Holiday' price of £ 150 for the next two weeks - so to answer the O.P., it has to be "NEW" :-)

Khyam are selling off some of their tents as 'seconds':
What is a Khyam Slight Second?
Occasionally things do go wrong but here at Khyam we try to make the best of these situations, by offering a large saving against the normal web price of the item. Items advertised as slight seconds may have some cosmetic defects such as:
Slight Colour Transfer on the Flysheet, Loose Sewing Threads or Seam Tape (which can be easily be cut off). You can be rest assured none of these issues will have any detrimental effect on the tent.
(I'm not connected to Khyam in any way, just noticed these while browsing the other day and thought they'd make a good starter tent, without breaking the bank.)
I'm looking at getting one of these to use as our weekend tent. Currently have a massive Wynnster Versailles 9dlx which is way to big for 3 of us for just a couple of nights.

Thanks or the replys, tentspares man is what I'm watching on eBay, there are also a couple of Icarus 500's on eBay but most people don't want to ship.
Everyone I know who has an Atlantis has had problems with leakage so I wouldn't recommend it as a first tent, maybe a spare,I've had fantastic tents from tentsparesman and nearlynewtents. If you do get the Atlantis you would have to pay out for waterproofing of tent and seam sealant b4 use so I would say spend ur money elsewhere and use the tent review section on this site, its invaluable until you learn ur way around tents.Hope you enjoy camping xxx
Thanks, I'm in and out of the review section. Is it just the atants that leaks or gelert in general ? Can you not rep roof them with fab seal or similar ?
