Hi Everyone,

Not posted for a long time, but wanted to come on here and let you know how pleased I am with Go Outdoors... Something like this may have already been posted sorry if I'm repeating.

I bought a new tent last Friday, a Voyager 6 for £249.. Then last night I get an email from Go Outdoors telling me there is now 20% off Hi Gear this weekend. B*gger, I thought, I could have saved myself £50! So I phoned the store up and they said to pop in and they would refund me the £50 difference. So I did.

Excellent customer service! Thank you Go Outdoors.

hi i had same thing last year bought hi gear corado 4 tent with carpet footprint and fron extension then next week they anounced they had a special offer on the whole package phoned them up they said if you find an item cheaper within 7 days they will price match and reduce by 10% so they matched the price plus knocked 10% of the sale price got £160 back

Well they've let me down so I'm not so fond of GO at the moment - price matched a tent been waiting all week for the delivery. Chased it yesterday to be told it would be next Monday when it would be delivered, but then got told they are out of stock of my tent and don't know when they will next be in.
No happy as due to be going away for half term, all paid for and have a family coming with us.

I'm not happy at being told something that clearly want true and then tried to fob us off ......not good enough

Ha ha! Thanks for the replies! I did try to buy a footprint while I was there but they were sold out, so I tried to spend the £50

I returned a Hi Gear item today (which I'd bought last Monday) and then re-bought it with the 20% discount. I asked first and they said lots of people do it!!

Jonboy, what I found incredible is not that they offered you a reduced price but they then knocked off an additional 10%.
