Hi all. Sunday is approaching fast and i think i have everything for our first camping trip of the year. Weather looks a bit iffy but guess we will have to just deal with whatever mother nature throws at us . The igloo cool box has been cooling down since tue and really impressed that the frozen bottles are still frozen. Is there a trick to packing the food in it do you put the ice blocks at the bottom,middle or top or does it not matter ?
Decided to take the quilts as it looks like it could be chilly at night and i only have wafer thin sleeping bags.
Feeling nervous and excited about the 5 nights ahead of us and just hoping i have remembered everything ......

Hi it is exciting getting ready for first trip...

re icepacks I would tend to ut some at bottom and some at top ,based onthe fact that cold air sinks/warm air rises .and that it feeels right will want to get at food.

Have to say it feeels so cold here may not need them

extra bedding is always good.

Have a fab time. We're off to Isle of Wight next weekend for two weeks. I'm almost beside myself with excitement.

We are off on Weds for 4 nights,hopefully missing the rain mon and tues. Only thing is been up all night with my son being sick,so just hope it doesn't go through all of us.

Have a great time. We are about to set off on our first trip of the season and to be honest I am looking forward to getting all the camping gear out and getting it all ready. Does that make me really sad??? We are only going for a couple of nights but will be away again later in the month.

Have a great time, we opted for days out this week. First time in a few years since we've not gone away this week. Good job as we have a funeral on Friday - not close family, but still need to be there.

I am very envious of those of you who are off this week or within the next few weeks. We have just come back from 2 weeks in North Devon where the weather was a mixed bag, but we didn't care as we were away. I totally get the idea of getting out all the gear to test as its something we also do and helps build the excitement!
