How many nights are you planning to camp, and when does your season start and finish?
------------- March 2015 Aberford 1 night
April 2015 Skipton 3 nights
May 2015 Aberford 3 nights
July 2015 Lake District 7 nights
August 2015 Aberford 3 nights
I would expect even the smaller 4.5 kg to last a while, we have a 2 burner campingaz cooker, the usage is just under 300g / hour, so would expect about 15 hours use on a 4.5kg bottle.
I use a 4.5kg butane bottles with my Cadac and my fridge *but* my concern if your comment about BBQs.
Worth checking the instructions with you BBQ regarding recommended gas as propane is generally advised to cope with the temperature drop caused by drawing the gas off.

Sorry, should have been more specific, I have a cast iron griddle I intend to use on the twin burning gas stove I have.
After reading up on google I decided for the Blue Butane 7kg.
I intend to weight the bottle before I go, & again when I come back, & then every time I return from camping.I should then get a better idea of how much gas I use (aprox) every time I go camping.
You could always buy a gauge for it,about three quid off eBay for the magnetic type, they work quite well.I use a 4.5kg and it lasts me ages including several fishing trips and three one week camping trips.
Check the usage, most devices will have this somewhere how many grams of gas is used per hour.
You will have just under 900 g gas per day, that's just 37.5 grams per hour.
Our double burner is similar to the kilpins above, using over 300g per hour, if you cook breakfast, and evening meal, plus a couple of kettles through the day for tea/coffee, let's say the cooker is on for 2 hours a day, leaves you with 12.5grams of gas per hour to use for the fridge.
Depending on which fridge, you might just have enough gas to keep you going!
We carry 2 of the CampinGaz 907 cylinders that way we never run out of gas.
Fact is the current cylinder in use now has lasted us since 2008, and we go to the South East of France each year during July for a fortnight campings or more.
And that icle 907 CampinGaz cylinder is still going strong, probably due to the fact that most of our cooking is done with Electric, as we take Electric Oven, Electric Induction Hob and Electric kettle.
OK CampinGaz may well be the most expensive Gas that you can get on the planet, but £18 for over 5 years use is peanuts.
