Our (me, OH, daughter of 12 and her friend) plan this summer is to do a little tour of Scotland, see some sights and scenery. We stay in Greenock and so far on the list we aim to stay at Oban Caravan and Camping Park, either Resipole or Ardnamurchan, Clachtoll Beach Campsite, Durness and John O'Groats. Two problems - one do we take the Kalahari 10 we have and leave the fridge and/or satellite behind or do we take the Sheldon 6 man with no carpet, mosquito net etc. Secondly we are having trouble finding somewhere to camp on the way home, as I am the only driver I would need a break of a night or two - any ideas would be very helpful.
i would suggest take the tent that is easiest and fastest to pitch since you are moving round a bit, take the fridge leave the telly let the kids find something to do with out relying on tv
I agree with janeywoo - forget the tv if it means you can take the more comfortable tent. I'm sure the girls can find other ways of amusing themselves - like making friends with other kids & having fun outdoors

New c+cc site opening soon on the edge of Loch Ness.
Thanks well spotted - just where we needed for the final leg home.
Trip now looks like, Oban, Resipole OR The Ardnamurchan Campsite, Applecross, Clachtoll, Durness, John O'Groats and Loch Ness Shores. Kalahari 10 won it hands down, satellite dish staying at home
Thanks everyone for your suggestions regarding the tent we should take - roll on the 28th June.
