I post this in a different section by mistake so sorry for the double posting!!!
Well folks after saving and saving i finally bought my Vango Icarus 600. It arrived from the Uk in great tie, by courier, no complaints, i put the tent up and all pieces were where it should be.
BUT, i was taking it down th other evening and i noticed the sitching at the built in groundsheet or flysheet (im not sure what its called) that is attached to the main part of the tent is loose. About 3 inches of it is not stiched on and it looks like the stiching has come loose there, i guess it will only unravel more and more with use.
Is this common or should i send the tent back and look for another as it took me a long time to save for this i really dont want to come into any hassle with it.
Id be contacting the seller to advise your options. They may arrange for it to be collected and send you another, or offer a partial refund if youre prepared to accept it and fix it yourself.

As above! I would take pictures and e-mail them to the company you brought it from. If you are overseas, it might be easier to get a discount and repair it yourself but this would invalidate the guarantee I think.
Oops I answered on the other thread, as above contact the seller re options but I wouldnt try to repair it due to possible warranty issues jn case anything else is wrong withnit at a later date
well folks, thanks for the replies. im situated in Ireland by the way.
I took your advice and got back onto the company i bought it from, it was a scotland based company on ebay.
I emailed them and they said they would not have another delivery of vangos until late July, which is fair enough. They did however say if the tent wont impair my camping, to go ahead and use it until they have their next delivery, they will then in turn organise to have it picked up via courier and they will send me back a new one.
I couldnt ask for much more to be honest and i got full apolagies for it. At least now i can take the kids camping in the next few weeks and not ruin their little holiday they are so excited about and still get a new tent when the new delivery arrives, fair play to them.
AS they have agreed to exchange it, and they will probably scrap it, you may want to ask if you can patch/gaffa tape the hole should the need arise, they may want you to take some pics first as no doubt they will claim back from Vango. Some gaffa tape should also stop it getting any bigger.
Enjoy your trip
