We've just bought a trigano galleon and can't seem to find thge answer to my question, do I need a footprint underneath? Also, can the awning be attached with the zig already on or does it have to be done separately? Don't fancy putting a groundsheet down first when its raining!

If you mean its a trailer tent with an awning out front & with everything erected you have grass surface under awning, then erect it all & put groundsheet down afterwards. If you mean do you need a footprint under the trailer bit? Then no you don't, its on wheels off the ground.

No I mean do iu need a footprint under the groundsheet in the awn, like a tent? Or is the zig OK on its own with nothing underneath?

If you want to keep the zig clean underneath then put something underneath. Ideal is just a cheap plastic dustsheet from B&Q which you can throw away afterwards if it is muddy. I just google imaged your TT so I see what you mean now. What might be a good idea as well is to put a tent carpet on top of zig to protect it. Provided zig can be zipped in afterwards then erect everything first then put in zig.

Thanks....we have a carpet for our old Monty, toying with the idea if keeping that or alternatively getting some of that cheap rubber matting. It felt wrong not to put a footprint under to protect it but I couldn't find any info on it at all!

Deffo get a footprint or it could cost you a lot if your sewn in groundsheet gets ruined on a stray stone
