we have also gone back to camping after having a motor home for the last 5 years the decision to do this was forced upon us,as some low life stole our motor home and as we had already booked a pitch for the bank holiday weekend ,and the camping gear was still in attic,we fetched it all out ,had a damm good weekend away,sat out side eating , reading ,and generally watching the world go by ( unlike with the van where we sat inside, telly on from the time we got up ) since then we have been away for another 2 weekends ,bought another tent so we would have more room,got a carpet ( jury still out on that ) and got some higher camp beds as i have trouble getting up after having hip replacement. and enjoying every moment so far (bearing in mind that we havnt yet had to put tent up or take itdown in the wet )
