So if you've clicked on this thread I'm guessing you are interested in this (or a male with to much time on your hands - yes you know who you are )
Having young girls I have many public toilet visits while on holiday however as we are off to the lake district this summer I figured there will be lots of countryside walks with not a toilet in sight .
My older two do not 'squat' even if desperate they would rather complain until a toilet is discovered and the youngest I have to hold in position but figured a she wee may be the way forward. Not keen on carrying one around (I know you rinse them off but still ) and the disposable ones seem like an expense to just throw away.
Then I recalled seeing a way to make a scoop out of an old plastic milk bottle on pinterest and figured it wouldn't be much different shape so have set about my prototype , need to test run it but on first inspection it would probably be more compact if using a 2pint bottle rather than a 4 pint . I figured I use a 4 pint bottle every day or two so will have quite a few by the time our holiday comes around
I've cut along lines and used a lighter along the edges to ensure no sharp edges
Yes I always carry a 'mum' bag so no worry about storage and will just bag it in a scented nappy bag until the next bin pretty much like a cleaning up after a dog . The younger two were quite keen on the idea of weeing like a boy however the oldest refused to use it and will wait until we reach a toilet (we do call her a diva).
That's a wonderful idea! My oldest would refuse to use one, but the younger one would love it! And I would love it too - saves a lot of wet shoes...
The only problem is that milk in Denmark comes in carton boxes.
And the egg box idea doesn't work in Denmark either - egg boxes are made of recycled paper mulch!

I really wondered what British egg boxes might look like...

I once made a spade for the sandpit like that. I used a milk carton cut almost as above. I had seen it done on Balamory! My small child made great use of it.
